What is the difference between cold pressed and refined oil? +
Cold pressed oil is extracted at low temperatures below 45°C without any chemical solvents — retaining its natural aroma, colour, vitamins, and nutrients. Refined oil is processed using high heat and chemicals that strip away most of the nutritional value, leaving behind a bland, odourless oil that may look cleaner but gives your body far less.
Can I use this for cooking at high temperatures? +
Yes. Our cold pressed oils are suitable for everyday Indian cooking — tempering, sautéing, and light frying. Each oil has its own smoke point, so we recommend using them for moderate heat cooking. For deep frying at very high temperatures, refined oils with higher smoke points are generally preferred.
Is it safe for babies and toddlers? +
Yes. Our oils are free from chemicals, preservatives, and artificial additives — making them safe for use on babies and young children. Many of our customers use our oils for baby massage and gentle skin care. As always, we recommend doing a small patch test before using on very sensitive skin.
Why does my oil solidify or turn cloudy in winter? +
Solidification or cloudiness at lower temperatures is completely natural and is actually a good sign — it means the oil is unrefined and pure. Refined oils are processed specifically to prevent this, which requires chemical treatment. To liquefy the oil, simply place the bottle in warm water for a few minutes. No quality is lost.
